By any chance do you have photo you could put on the forum of your 1923 Avery?

If it is a true 1923 Avery then you are on the wrong board.Any BF Avery tractors including General,Wards Twin Row,Model "A",Model "V",Model "R" or MM BFs,BGs or Vs were made starting in 1939.
If you are talking about the old Avery Co.they are not part of the BF Avery Co.May be someone on here that can help.
If you can get a picture posted we may be able to tell you what you have.I have seen Avery "A"s advertised as 1920s before so yopu may have a tractor newer then you think.
If it is a Model "A" BF Avery the serial # is stamped in the top of the _frame_ rail ahead of the brake pedals or the right brake lever.

You are correct. After removing about an inch of barn-dust, I could clearly see the B F on the Avery emblum above the grill. I do now have some pictures af the oldgirl now on my computer, but I am having truble getting them posted.
As soon as I figure out how to get them posted you'll be the first to know. I'd love to be able to show it off and restore it.
Just the sight of it brings back old memories of the best part of my life with the person who made me who I am today.
I owe my very life to him.
THANKS GRAMPS. I STILL THINK OF YOU DAILY.
